INTRODUCTION:-
Analyst - Strategy, Budget & Planning, Investment job opportunity is available at Old Mutual Nigeria for individuals who possess relevant qualifications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-
Strategy, Budget & Planning:
- Support the supervisor by gathering information, coordinating, and communicating with Business Units in managing the annual business planning exercise.
- Support the supervisor in monitoring business performance by preparing and updating reporting templates to track business plan execution. Identify trends and variations for discussion at Exco.
- Conduct research, analysis and provides relevant economic and investment information.
- Conduct competitor and industry research and insights.
- Collect, organize, and analyze data for the preparation of reports to Exco, Group Stakeholders and the Board.
- Remain competent and current through self-directed professional reading, professional contacts with colleagues, professional development courses, and training and/or courses as required.
- Utilize effective interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to handle ad-hoc responsibilities assigned by the immediate supervisor.
- Maintain a database of macroeconomic, industry and other relevant data.
- Provide day to day support for the Strategy Manager.
- Performs any other administrative tasks required by Strategy Manager.
Investments:
- Research, analysis and provision of relevant economic and investment information.
- Read all relevant environment events in relation to investments market performance.
- Maintain up to date information on the latest economic trend in the country, latest and any updates in the financial markets.
- Maintain a database of investment statistics to support investment decisions.
- Conduct market research and gather market intelligence to enhance management of funds.
- Participate in financial briefing provided by the investment managers and analysts internally and externally.
- Ensure that all investment compliance regulations are met.
- Provide day to day support for the Investment Manager.
- Performs any other administrative tasks required by Investment Manager.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:-
- Candidate should possess minimum of first degree holder.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a research/data analysis role.
