Job Station: Abuja, Rivers State.
INTRODUCTION:-
Economist job opportunity is available at Grant Thornton Nigeria for individuals who possess relevant qualifications.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:-
- Candidate should possess minimum of B.Sc. degree (2.1) in Economics from a reputable university
- Must have at least 5 years practical experience of economic research and analysis in a reputable organisation
Requirements and Competencies:
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of relevance of both microeconomic and macroeconomic them in national development
- Good understanding of structure and workings of the Nigerian economy and the roles of various sectors, local and global institutions and other factors.
- Research – minded and analytical, able to produce well researched articles on a regular basis.
- Ability to engage in intellectual discourse on economic issues at any level
- Ability to work well without supervision under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent team spirit, and able to interact well with every profile of the wider society
- Proficient in the use of MS Officer suite and other technological work tools
- Excellent verbal an written communication skills
- Ability to identify, interpret and analyse economic indices and related statistics
- experience in a consulting firm, or in regular journalism focused on economic of finance related themes is a definite advantage
- Age: Not more than 45 years
