Position Title: General Manager.
Job Station: Lagos State.
INTRODUCTION:-
General Manager job opportunity is available at Westfield Consulting Limited for individuals who possess relevant qualifications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-
- Ensure that Functional Heads are delivering to the customers principles and practices of facilities operations, maintenance, and management. Review and enhance best practice services across all existing clients.
- Assist the Functional Heads in decision making if requested and solving problems by identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions at minimum cost.
- Carry out regular reviews of contract performance against budget and plans. Review, implement and evaluate remedial action.
- Develop and maintain a continuous improvement mindset to service delivery that generates “added value” to the business. Continuously review key performance indicators (KPI’s), best practice, and review benchmarks.
- Investigate and define problem areas within the various Project sites, conduct occasional site tours and prepare reports recommending measures for improving our service delivery.
- Ensure that best practice and improvement initiatives are effectively shared and communicated through all Functional Heads.
- Develop a strategic growth plan with agreed operational budgets with Management including a business development strategy to maximize both internal and external opportunities.
- Present reports for Management identifying performance against targets and recommendations for performance improvement across the business.
- Coordinate and run weekly meetings with key Functional Heads and operational management to discuss progress against targets and ongoing issues and priorities.
- Completion of annual appraisals of Functional Heads and ensuring that they receive guidance, support and recognition of their development needs through regular appraisals, reviews, and personal development plans
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining a professional working relationship with both internal and external customers and employees.
- Interfacing with external Institutions, Government Agencies on environmental issues
- Interfacing with various stakeholders on issues
- Working with the Accounts department in putting together office annual budget, presenting and defending the budget at the Management level.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:-
- B.Sc. and a Master’s Degree with over 15 year’s facilities management experience
- Minimum of 5 years at a senior management level.
Knowledge / Skills Required for the role:
- Possess ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to guide employees towards goal achievement
- Proven experience working effectively with people of all social, economic and cultural backgrounds
- Demonstrate ability to express ideas clearly in written documents and presentations
- Possess strong analytical, organizational, management and computer skills
- Comfortable assisting team efforts
- High level of independent judgment
- Ability to maintain customer relations
- Dependability & punctuality
- Excellent command of English
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
