Terminal Accountant

Job Location: Auchi, Edo

Details

  • Responsible for all the accounting functions in the Terminal.
  • Work with and assists the Chief Financial Officer in implementing account functions for the company.
  • Handle all the cash expenses at the Terminal.
  • Prepare reports of all movement of finance in and out of the Terminal.
  • Ensure that daily call-over and verification are carried out on all transactions posted into the system from the Terminal.
  • Assist in producing schedules for remittance/payment of VAT, PAYE and other statutory payments from the Terminal.
  • Liaise with the head office to prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements to be submitted to management.
  • He also ensures completeness of all payments and dr receipts, invoices, Debit/Credit Memos and ensures they are correctly posted into the Accounting System.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Secure Terminal financial information by completing data base backups.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Vehicle Tracking Officer

Job Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Tracking of truck locations by GPS system.
  • Monitoring truck driver performance (50-plus vehicles).
  • Ensuring strict compliance with company regulations by drivers.
  • Identifying on-road exceptions and taking immediate remedial action.
  • Liaising with drivers, operations personnel and management.
  • Developing and presenting daily management reports.
  • Implementation of Transport policy approved by management.
  • Ensure observance of road safety standards; ensure project vehicles are used in accordance with established rules and regulations and that vehicle usage data is correctly recorded.
  • Propose improvements in the existing transport processes, systems and tools.
  • Track vehicle and fuel usage and consumption rates; ensure that potential problems or fuel misuse is raised to management.
  • Arrange for re-training and re-certification of drivers and registration and re-certifications of vehicles.
  • Collect vehicle logs from the field and review for accuracy. Discuss problems with logs with drivers and train new drivers on how to properly fill in vehicle logs.
  • Collect daily and weekly vehicle checklists, verify their accuracy, and work with drivers to correct any problems.

Qualification and Requirements

  • Excellent Vehicle Tracking/ Tracker installation and IT skills.
  • A university degree Minimum of 3 years work experience in a similar field and position.
  • Excellent communication skills Analytical self-starter.
  • Good geographic knowledge.
  • Road transport background preferred

Ticketing Officer

Job Location: Akowonjo, Lagos

Details

  • Sell bus ticket at the terminal to walk in guests
  • Make and/or change travel reservations for guests using the online booking system
  • Create and maintain guest reservation records
  • Resolve service challenges for guests either via phone, email or in person
  • Serve guests by providing service information related to travelling schedule, fare and payment
  • Announce arrival and departure information using the public address system
  • Assist in guest luggage check in
  • Ensure customer complaints and emergency concerns are escalated to the appropriate quarters
  • Adhere to the company’s policy on guaranteed reservations and no-shows
  • Promote goodwill by being courteous, friendly and helpful to guests, managers and fellow employees.
  • Promote the online booking App for downloads with other products and services of the company to guests
