Position Title: Legal Counsel (Commercial).

Job Station: Nigeria, Other Countries.

INTRODUCTION :-

Legal Counsel (Commercial) job opportunity is available at Confederation of African Football (CAF) for individuals who possess Bachelor’s Degree in Law

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :-

Legal Counsel (Commercial) who can contribute to CAF’s overall success by effectively managing the following duties:

  • Draft and conduct further legal assistance in negotiation & interpretation of broad range of agreements, including sponsoring, licensing, service provider, Bidding & Hosting and IP-related agreements
  • Assist with the CAF Rights Protection Programme in relation to CAF Events
  • Support in General legal services
  • Assist in the continuous development of CAF Marketing Regulations
  • Handle and monitor international commercial litigation

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION :-

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law
  • Master’s Degree in Law is an asset
  • Preferably 1 to 2 years expertise in commercial legal practice “on the job” in the sports rights industry, on in-house legal department or a reputable law firm engaged in sponsoring and licensing rights
  • Professional experience of working and drafting legal documents, in particular contracts in English and French languages
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Ability to transfer profound legal knowledge into commercially oriented solutions
  • Good communication & negotiation skills
  • Service and solution orientated personality with keen perception of legal, commercial / marketing and policy related implications.
