Position Title: Operations Manager.

Job Station: Abuja.

Operations Manager job opportunity is available at Ajani and Kimberly Limited for individuals who possess a Bachelor Degree.

Description

• We seeks the services of an expert in the logistics sector, who will be in charge of the cargo/courier section of the company. The individual will also be managing the client’s drivers, fleet, and other logistics staff.

Job Summary

• You will manage and effectively lead the cargo section team members, to deliver meaningful results that keenly drive productivity and efficiency. You will also be responsible for overall operations efficiency, acquisition of new clients, continuous improvement, and long-term network strategy.
• This includes excellence in achieving KPIs resulting in meeting/exceeding the set target for the terminal, and customer expectations for shipping fulfillment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-

• Responsible for overseeing the Cargo section logistics management processes across all departments in a conscientious and precise manner.
• Ensure that the branch meets its sales, marketing and operational target in line with the company’s objectives.
• Achieve the branch’s monthly net gross/net bank target of Twenty Million Naira #20,000,000.
• Ensure complete compliance to smart client usage, and adequate arrangement to maximize revenue from profitable routes.
• Ensure that all cash realized at the branch are paid into the designated bank account.
• Prepare a departure and arrival schedule for all trucks and follow up on the drivers.
• Prepare daily sales report for both Ajani & Kimberly and its clients
• Prepare weekly report on progress towards pre-defined goals to the CEO, Ajani and Kimberly Ltd.
• Evaluating performance objectives and metrics to determine inbound or outbound shipment requirements to achieve customer time, accuracy, and quality expectations
• Resolve any issues pertaining to delays in shipment of mails/parcels/goods promptly.
• Safeguard execution of field operations by the Truck Pilots and Field Service Operators by establishing and monitoring established procedures and protocols.
• Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the team to ensure set targets are met.
• Oversee the planned maintenance of project equipment and transport.
• Participate in scheduled meetings and report on progress therein.
• Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:-

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor Degree qualification with at least 6 years work experience.
