Service Engineer – Mechanical

Job Description

  • Perform Mechanical maintenance and/or trouble shooting on Wartsila products or similar medium bore diesel engines
  • Overhaul engine components in workshop and at site/on board including some in situ machining.
  • Carry out engine product trouble shooting, routine maintenance & components investigation.
  • Check and adjust relevant systems (i.e. auxiliary equipment).
  • Pre-commissioning of engines and Perform Mechanical commissioning.
  • Prepare Service reports and travel expenses on time and with expected Wartsila quality.
  • Identify failures, making adjustments, assist on trial runs and testing of Mechanical installations according to instructions.
  • Provide internal and external work reports according to Wärtsilä standards. Perform site audits.
  • Collect and organize time and expense reports. Reporting and informing administrative personnel as required.
  • Report executed work according to Wärtsilä standards.

Requirements

  • First degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant discipline and have strong knowledge of Wartsila engines
  • Wärtsilä power plant knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong planning skills
  • Team player attitude internally and externally

General Manager, Sales

Job Location: Nigeria

Position Description

  • Leads a sales team or major sales projects within the Service Unit
  • Deliver Net Sales, Margin and other relevant metrics in the assigned area
  • Manage customer relationships
  • Number of CROL Reports as agreed targets
  • CRM updating
  • Sales Action Plan
  • Account Plans

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage sales teams in the within the Service Unit
  • Manage customer segment in the defined responsibility area to meet strategic goals.
  • Manage, monitor and develop the sales projects in own
  • Responsibility area and report the progress to relevant stakeholders.
  • Define action plans for assigned sales team according to Sales business strategy.
  • Review performance of own sales team.
  • Maintain and further develop present assigned customer relationships.
  • Identify and develop relationships with potential customers.
  • Organise and participate in relevant sales meetings with customers.
  • Identify, report and manage potential risks detected in the assigned projects.
  • Ensure corrective actions are taken on CROL results
  • Coach team to identify and focus on sales opportunities
  • Ensure top customers’ sales account plans are followed
  • Ensure that sales team is getting to know the customers well and is well-informed of the market developments
  • Coach team to identify and focus on sales opportunities
  • Demonstrate commitment to OH&S, Environmental & Quality Systems and actively participate in Wartsila initiatives
  • Ensure customer specific sales action and capture plans and follow within the Service Unit

Requirements
Marketing and sales skills, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills:

  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently, as well as fluent skills in English and French.
  • Knowledge of the market is considered as a major advantage
  • Team player and pro-active attitude
  • Understanding of the after sales business and working experience, preferably in sales

Management Qualifications:

  • Recognised Engineering qualifications
  • 10 years minimum Sales experience
  • Experience in a Customer Relationship Management environment

Maintenance Supervisor – Electrical

Job Location: Calabar, Cross Rivers

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all activities related to the maintenance management of the 50DF engine power plant like:
  • Coordinate daily electrical and automation maintenance activities at the plant and/or assigned team.
  • Ensure that the performance targets of the plant are reached according to the contract in own responsibility area.
  • Train maintenance procedures and standards for the new workers.
  • Monitor the condition of maintenance equipment, materials, parts and tools and ensure those are maintained according to applicable
  • guidelines and policies and take corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure that the work is executed at plant according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures as well as assigned maintenance plan.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure that repairs have been completed correctly and that machinery and equipment conform to specifications and safety standards.
  • Coach and mentor maintenance staff and assist them to diagnose more complex problems with machinery or equipment problems.
  • Develop the maintenance working routines at the plant.
  • Prioritize and assign tasks so that assigned team resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met.
